Bible Basis Speaker
Pastor Don Miller
Pastor Don Miller met his wife Donna at Hope Church, and they have been married for 46 years. Don’s father, Donald A. Miller, was Senior Pastor of Hope Church from 1968-1990. During his father’s tenure, Don served as Youth Pastor for two years and later as Single Adults Pastor for four years. When Hope Church planted Grace Community Chapel in Saint Peters in 1984, Don was commissioned as founding pastor of that fellowship, where he served until 1990. Since then, he has served as Senior Pastor of Westover Church in Greensboro, NC. He retired at the end of 2021 after serving there for 31 years.
Featured Missionaries
John & Katie Ferch
While training indigenous church leaders in Alaska, John and Katie Ferch experienced firsthand the unique needs of oral learners. John began researching how to better meet these needs through his doctoral studies at Western Seminary. In 2021, they joined the Oral Bible Translation (“OBT”) team at Spoken Worldwide. John serves as an OBT Consultant/Trainer, mentoring indigenous Bible translators using an entirely oral approach. The Ferches are based in the US, training local church leaders around the world through a combination of video conferencing and frequent personal visits.
Doug & Delores Howe
Doug Howe served as a church planter on the Island of Grenada, West Indies from 1971-1977. Dolores served with New Tribes Mission in Venezuela, where she was a school teacher for Missionary Kids. Doug and Delores were married after he returned from Grenada, and they have since been serving as mobilizers and campus representatives with Crossworld mission.
Kyle & Shannon Kilchrist
Kyle and Shannon Kilchrist are full-time Missionaries with SCORE International. They are on the mission field as Kingdom Missions-SCORE International sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, sharing God’s Love, and serving God's People through Domestic and International Mission Trips, Free Community and Sports Outreaches and Complimentary Service to Local Churches, Organizations and Businesses.
Derrill & Becky MArtin
Derrill and Becky Martin serve with The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) in Asia and live in the southern Philippines. They help TEAM workers partner with the global Church to make disciples and plant churches among the least-reached people groups in Asia. They have three children and nine grandchildren. Since they were recently granted permission to return to the field after COVID, Derril and Becky will be participating remotely.
Faith Promise Giving
Your Faith Promise pledge supports Hope Church's global missions activities including monthly support for Hope missionaries, special projects, and short term mission trips. The Faith Promise pledge cards are used to help determine the annual missions budget.
You will find a pledge card in your church mail folder. This card is meant as a reminder to yourself of your commitment. There is also a portion that we ask you to detach and place in the offering box outside the office.
Your Faith Promise is strictly voluntary. It should not replace your tithe. It’s between you and God. We will never ask you about it. We will not tell you what to give. You decide what to give by FAITH.
We ask that you and your family take time to pray about what God would have you to give to support our missionaries.
Missionary Prayer Journal
Twice each month, we publish a prayer list with current prayer needs from all of our missionaries. If you would like to receive this prayer list to uphold our missionaries in prayer, please let us know.
